Cambridge Champs Junior Sculling Head - 21st March 2010

Entry Information

Champion of The Thames (Cambridge) Rowing Club

'The Champs' is a friendly, family oriented rowing club, based in Cambridge, England. We have a thriving membership of active rowers including men's, ladies', veteran and junior crews, and are now probably the largest club in the area. Champs crews range from the highly competitive (training/racing several times a week - competing at major races off-Cam) to the social crews who like to strike the life-sport balance on the life side.

The Champs has established a Junior Rowing Programme (focused on ages 11-18) and is working towards Clubmark accreditation.

We welcome experienced rowers as new members at any time - please click on "Membership" for more details. However, due to the club's success and subsequent growth we are not able to accept applications for membership from those with no prior rowing experience.
We row out of Clare Boat Club and the CRA boathouse. We are forging increasingly strong links with Clare BC including use of facilities and boat sharing.

River Restrictions - Sunday 28th March Cambridge Canoe Club

Cambridge Canoe Club will once again be holding the annual Cam Canoe Marathon on the River Cam. The race will be held on Sunday 28th March starting from the Canoe Club’s clubhouse on Sheep’s Green, Newnham.
Most of the activity will be on the upper river from Sheep’s Green up to Granchester, from 10.30am until 13.00pm. However, the more experienced paddlers will be racing down the Backs and onto the lower river as far as Baits Bite on times between 11.15am and 12.30pm. We would be grateful if the river was not too busy with rowers during this time. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
